Thanks for taking care, and apologies for the belated reply.

To avoid FTBFS problems complicating the ncurses5 -> ncurses6
transition, I made this change in ncurses back in the day:

I intend to finally remove these "temporary" symlinks after the Bookworm
release, after which the will most likely FTBFS, as nothing has changed
in the package since 2018.
