To sum, the offending commit in 2.3.7 is 8b6460e4f2d40 (Improve HiDpi handling). The suggestion is to add in ~/.lyx/preferences \draw_strategy backingstore and also report back the environment (Wayland/X11, Gnome/KDE/...), Qt version and whether HiDPI is used on the systema. Since I did not get any additional response from the reporter this is best we can have for the moment. Pavel
