It probably is. I just fixed a crash, which was triggered by the AI checking where to put a road (and going off the board). The AI does this on several occasions, in particular when it is checking if it wants resources. Winston Churchill had segfaulted and didn't say anything anymore. When an AI dies gracefully, it will also chat about it, so the player can see that something is wrong (and what).
