The recent upgrade of python3-packaging from 21.3-1.1 to 22.0-2 breaks packaging.version.LegacyVersion (specifically, it removed it). The configure script will fail because it tries to use the unavailable class. Matthew Ahrens has fixed this with upstream commit b72efb751 [1].
