Hello, I'm the current* developer of cdw.
I was unaware of ticket 982222, but few days ago I was approached by one of users regarding the problem with cdrkit, and he pointed me to this ticket.
The last release of cdw was in year 2016, and since then the project was dormant. Today I have officially closed the project and I have updated pages at cdw.sf.net accordingly.
I have no plans to update cdw to work with new backend tools. Perhaps a new developer will step up and will take over the project, giving it new home (different than cdw.sf.net) and new features.
Please notice that I won't be designating, recommending or approving any new developer of new upstream cdw project.
