Thanks for this bug report!

Turns out there already was an upstream issue for this problem:
https://rt.cpan.org/Public/Bug/Display.html?id=140687
with a patch from Fedora which changes to same call in a slightly
different way.

0.02-3 uploaded with the patch from RT.
