hello there i did not saw you answer to this question ... that's why i tooked so much time.
you explained your point very well... but , i must disagree a bit with, even if i agree with all that you said. my bug was filled because every user, like i, that uses the gnome key manager and is used to gksu frontend, is expecting that apt-watch would ask the root password the same way, with the same visual, if you understand me. really, now i realise how apt-watch work ... it copies the downloaded material to /var/cache/apt/archives after a valid root password is given. I know that is very odd to show /usr/bin/apt-watch-auth-helper ... but i think it is the right way to go to cause an uniformitty (ouch ... be uniform) in gnome's environment (by asking the root password all the same way). Maybe we could added a wishlist bug to gksu to make a way to substitute the runtime text /usr/bin/whatever to some other text we wish to show. also, this could be valid for kde and gnome (i don't know if kde has some stuff like gksu) please, send me your thoughts best regards Luis Matos -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
