Base System Installation Checklist: [O] = OK, [E] = Error (please elaborate below), [ ] = didn't try it Initial boot worked: [ O ] Configure network HW: [ O ] Config network: [ O ] Detect CD: [ O ] Load installer modules: [ O ] Detect hard drives: [ E ] Partition hard drives: [ ] Create file systems: [ ] Mount partitions: [ ] Install base system: [ ] Install boot loader: [ ] Reboot: [ ] Comments/Problems: Initial boot works, although I have to use "video=ofonly". That's fine, but the video is then right-sifted by approximately 1/2 the screen. That is, the text that should really be on the far right of my monitor, wraps around and is displayed on the left side. This is on a CRT monitor using the ADC port on my video card. The background for the menus is red instead of blue. My harddrive is not detected so I am unable to partition. lspci shows: 0001:11:04.0 SCSI storage controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic 53C896/897 (rev 07) 0001:11:04.1 SCSI storage controller: LSI Logic / Symbios Logic 53C896/897 (rev 07) Let me know if I can provide further debugging information. Paul.
