Hi, I am currently unable to reproduce this bug. weresync build-depends on python3-sphinx (which build-depends on python3-distutils), so it is no longer necessary to add this build-dependency to weresync. I confirmed that python3- distutils is installed when building weresync 1.0.9-2 in pbuilder. So I am closing this bug, but please reach out if it remains an issue.
