This is resolved for upgrades in https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=508764 but (per https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=221790#39) this bug was left over for the general case. Cheers Dominic
