Package: pipewire Version: 0.3.61-1 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
NEWS.gz file is provided by libpipewire-0.3-0 which I understand is a depends to almost whatever the other pipewire related packages are installed. This is a bit «disturbing me» each time I am looking for it and not founding it (also?) in /usr/share/doc/pipewire as its content addresses many information points related to other components than the library itself. Otherwise, why not then providing it by libpipewire-0.3-common package? I do not know if there is any recommendation/policy regarding this file. But for instance within all the systemd packages, the NEW.gs file is in /usr/share/doc/systemd. Finally, do not hesitate to close this «issue» if it is noise to you. ;-) Regards, Patrice -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.1.0-0-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages pipewire depends on: ii adduser 3.129 ii init-system-helpers 1.65.2 ii libpipewire-0.3-modules 0.3.61-1 ii pipewire-bin 0.3.61-1 pipewire recommends no packages. pipewire suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
