in CMakeLists.txt the variable WSJT_BUILD_UTILS (ON during Debian build) builds following utils, that are not included in the package, because they are not installed in CMakeLists.txt:1580 (search for WSJT_BUILD_UTILS in CMakeLists.txt): encode77 ft4code ft4sim ft4sim_mult ft8sim jt49sim jt4sim jt65sim ldpcsim240_101 ldpcsim240_74 msk144sim q65_ftn_test rtty_spec sumsim test_q65 test_snr wsprcode wsprsim E. g. ft8sim creates audio files from strings via the commandline.
