the thing is that it isn't even in master - i pushed a preliminary
commit to a branch. the reason for that is that its legal foundation is
mildly shaky without at least ME's explicit consent (he's not responding
at all).
having said that, i'll go ahead with it anyway when i'm about to release
1.5, but that is still some time in the future, as there are some known
bugs and i'm currently busy with other projects.
you're welcome to pick the change at your own peril. note that you'll
need to pick 72ba7ef1 and 93563009 as well if you want the patch to
apply (more or less) cleanly.
