Package: perl Version: 5.8.4-8sarge4.1 Followup-For: Bug #365125
Hi. it's Mr. More info (Brian McDonald). I tried your patch but I had to specify the exact version to apt-get source ie: 'apt-get source perl=5.8.4-8sarge4'. The man page for apt-get says you may not get the same source version as you would a binary ( though it doesn't adequately explain why? ) and recommends specifying the version to be sure. I upgraded all my currently installed perl packages to the ones built with this patch, and both /usr/bin/widget, from the perl-tk package I had previosly built, and /usr/local/vocp/bin/xvocp.pl, from my install of VOCP are working perfectly now.
