Actually only managed to finish that upload the weekend after my
holidays. Had to put in another bunch of hours to get the remaining
lintian warnings screened and (mostly) either fixed or overridden.

Finally did the upload last night.

Uploaded without your name in, but feel free to add yourself in git.

For now I used a development scheme of editing debian/changelog with
each commit, but that can be discussed. (Actually, Anton and me
haven't discussed that yet and seem to have used different schemes so
far.)

BTW, the upstream branch in git is named "tarballs" as used by the
previous package maintainer and documented in debian/gbp.conf. That's
something we can change, too, but I'd like to have at least a mail
thread with a consensus explicitly deciding on one scheme/layout (if
we want to change it).

                Regards, Axel
