After some thoughts on it I've decided to make the test-suite non-fatal in the pending 8.2.7-2 upload.
The root cause of the test-suite error appears to be that conserver is using AI_ADDRCONFIG, and fails to resolve localhost to 127.0.0.1 on machines that do not have non-local IPv4 connectivity. https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=952740 https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel/2022/02/msg00070.html I have briefly tried to make the test-suite cope with both situations, but was not successful. I don't want to make any code changes breaking some real-world application while beating the testsuite into submission, so for now I'll ignore the failure.
