When attempting to build an application that uses both libsndfile and libFLAC, the application fails to link with "/usr/bin/ld: warning: libFLAC.so.8, needed by /lib/<architecture>-linux-gnu/libsndfile.so.1, may conflict with libFLAC.so.12" It appears this issue was introduced in the last libFLAC update on Oct. 14. libsndfile probably needs to be (re)built against libFLAC.so.12 to resolve the problem.
