Package: pulseaudio Version: 16.1+dfsg1-2+b1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
If I start playing a video in firefox, pulseaudio freezes and I can't play anything until I restart pulseaudio. If I start playing video in Chrome, it'll work until I pause or stop, then pulseaudio freezes again, until I restart pulseaudio. Once it's frozen I can repliably get errors on anything that touches the audio device. For example from mplayer: ``` Starting playback... A: 0.1 (00.0) of 473.0 (07:53.0) ??,?% Audio device got stuck! A: 0.3 (00.3) of 473.0 (07:53.0) ??,?% Audio device got stuck! ``` -- Package-specific info: File '/etc/default/pulseaudio' does not exist -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-8-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=en_US.utf8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages pulseaudio depends on: ii adduser 3.129 ii init-system-helpers 1.65.2 ii libasound2 1.2.7.2-1 ii libasound2-plugins 1.2.7.1-1 ii libc6 2.35-3 ii libcap2 1:2.44-1 ii libdbus-1-3 1.14.4-1 ii libfftw3-single3 3.3.8-2 ii libgcc-s1 12.2.0-5 ii libglib2.0-0 2.74.0-3 ii libgstreamer-plugins-base1.0-0 1.20.3-2 ii libgstreamer1.0-0 1.20.3-1 ii libice6 2:1.0.10-1 ii libltdl7 2.4.7-4 ii liborc-0.4-0 1:0.4.32-2 ii libpulse0 16.1+dfsg1-2+b1 ii libsm6 2:1.2.3-1 ii libsndfile1 1.1.0-3 ii libsoxr0 0.1.3-4 ii libspeexdsp1 1.2.1-1 ii libstdc++6 12.2.0-5 ii libsystemd0 251.6-1 ii libtdb1 1.4.7-1 ii libudev1 251.6-1 ii libwebrtc-audio-processing1 0.3-1+b1 ii libwrap0 7.6.q-31 ii libx11-6 2:1.8.1-2 ii libx11-xcb1 2:1.8.1-2 ii libxcb1 1.15-1 ii libxtst6 2:1.2.3-1.1 ii lsb-base 11.4 ii pulseaudio-utils 16.1+dfsg1-2+b1 ii sysvinit-utils [lsb-base] 3.05-6 Versions of packages pulseaudio recommends: ii dbus-user-session 1.14.4-1 ii libpam-systemd [logind] 251.6-1 ii rtkit 0.13-4+b1 Versions of packages pulseaudio suggests: pn paprefs <none> ii pavucontrol 5.0-2 pn pavumeter <none> ii udev 251.6-1 -- Configuration Files: /etc/pulse/daemon.conf changed: ; daemonize = no ; fail = yes ; allow-module-loading = yes ; allow-exit = yes ; use-pid-file = yes ; system-instance = no ; local-server-type = user ; enable-shm = yes ; enable-memfd = yes ; shm-size-bytes = 0 # setting this 0 will use the system-default, usually 64 MiB ; lock-memory = no ; cpu-limit = no ; high-priority = yes ; nice-level = -11 ; realtime-scheduling = yes ; realtime-priority = 5 ; exit-idle-time = 20 ; scache-idle-time = 20 ; dl-search-path = (depends on architecture) load-default-script-file = yes default-script-file = /etc/pulse/default.pa ; log-target = auto ; log-level = notice ; log-meta = no ; log-time = no ; log-backtrace = 0 ; resample-method = speex-float-1 ; avoid-resampling = false ; enable-remixing = yes ; remixing-use-all-sink-channels = yes ; remixing-produce-lfe = no ; remixing-consume-lfe = no ; lfe-crossover-freq = 0 ; flat-volumes = no ; rescue-streams = yes ; rlimit-fsize = -1 ; rlimit-data = -1 ; rlimit-stack = -1 ; rlimit-core = -1 ; rlimit-as = -1 ; rlimit-rss = -1 ; rlimit-nproc = -1 ; rlimit-nofile = 256 ; rlimit-memlock = -1 ; rlimit-locks = -1 ; rlimit-sigpending = -1 ; rlimit-msgqueue = -1 ; rlimit-nice = 31 ; rlimit-rtprio = 9 ; rlimit-rttime = 200000 ; default-sample-format = s16le ; default-sample-rate = 44100 ; alternate-sample-rate = 48000 ; default-sample-channels = 2 ; default-channel-map = front-left,front-right ; default-fragments = 4 ; default-fragment-size-msec = 25 ; enable-deferred-volume = yes ; deferred-volume-safety-margin-usec = 8000 ; deferred-volume-extra-delay-usec = 0 -- no debconf information
