This is a duplicate of https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=821352. That is you have to check that xserver-xorg-input-synaptics is removed and xserver- xorg-input-libinput is installed. GNOME does not support xserver-xorg- input-synaptics anymore. If you still have the issue could you confirm this fixes it? Could you close this bug report if you are still on GNOME Xorg and do not experience the issue anymore?
