Dear Maintainer, I am since 10 years a user of Gnome. For whatever reason I didn't have the Gnome desktop meta package installed, but I recently installed it and together with it comes gnome-inital-setup. Even though I am a already a Gnome user since a long time, this tool does not seem to recognize this. What makes it worse: The tool automatically starts and there is no way to quit it. There is no exit button in the usual location of the window (top right corner). If I go through the window menu in the top bar, it only has 2 entrys, "Show Details" and "Quit". The "Quit" action does nothing when I click it. I would exepct that I can somehow quit or abort the inital setup when it's not needed and also that it stops autostarting afterwards.
