Hi Axel,
I note you have cloned a bug for doing a revert of the automatic
trimming with an email that I interpreted as a interest in a permanent
revert.
I am perfectly open towards the current implementation having bugs - and
we can discuss whether some of them are bad enough to warrant a timely
solution or *temporary* revert.
However, be advised that the change to introduce automatic trimming was
discussed on debian-devel and the consensus of that mail thread was to
my understand that we should enable automatic trimming. Therefore, I am
now wontfix'ing #1021608 on a conceptual basis. If you with #1021608
wanted to a temporary revert, feel free to remove the wontfix tag again.
If you disagree the automatic trimming in general, I will require that
you have ensured that there is project wide consensus or the tech-ctte
behind that revert.
