Package: mimedefang
Version: 2.56-1
Severity: important

MIMEDefang 2.57-BETA-1, or a patch sent to the list about 23 Apr
corrects a deficiency in support of new spamassassin.

sa-update will grab new rules, and incorporate them into spamassassin
or spamc runs... It does that by using a new variable LOCAL_STATE_DIR
which is set to '/var/lib' on Debian.

Mimedefang does not pass set that variable when creating a new filter
instance - and so misses any updated rules :(

The patch, or the Beta release allow for Mimedefang to properly see
the new rules.
