Package: gnome-software Version: 43.0-1 Severity: minor Dear Maintainer,
I recently tried out gnome-software, and noticed that there's a glitch with rendering emphasis-tags. E.g. the "puredata-gui" package contains an org.puredata.pd-gui.metainfo.xml file, which has the following paragraph in its description: ``` <p> Think of Pd as a <em>Modular Synthesizer</em> that is also a programming language. </p> ``` for whatever reasons, gnome-software renders this paragraph without spaces around the '<em>Modular Synthesizer</em>' (see attached image). other HTML-entities, like '"' leave spaces intact. -- System Information: Debian Release: bookworm/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'testing-debug'), (500, 'oldstable-updates'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.18.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_PROPRIETARY_MODULE, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages gnome-software depends on: ii appstream 0.15.5-1 ii apt-config-icons 0.15.5-1 ii dconf-gsettings-backend [gsettings-backend] 0.40.0-3 ii gnome-software-common 43.0-1 ii gsettings-desktop-schemas 43.0-1 ii libadwaita-1-0 1.2.0-1 ii libappstream4 0.15.5-1 ii libc6 2.35-1 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-6 iu libfwupd2 1.8.5-1 it libgdk-pixbuf-2.0-0 2.42.9+dfsg-1 iu libglib2.0-0 2.74.0-2 ii libgtk-4-1 4.8.1+ds-1 ii libgtk3-perl 0.038-1 ii libgudev-1.0-0 237-2 ii libjson-glib-1.0-0 1.6.6-1 ii libmalcontent-0-0 0.11.0-3 ii libpackagekit-glib2-18 1.2.5-3 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.50.10+ds-1 ii libpolkit-gobject-1-0 0.105-33 ii libsoup2.4-1 2.74.2-3 ii libxmlb2 0.3.8-1 ii packagekit 1.2.5-3 ii software-properties-gtk 0.96.20.2-2.1 Versions of packages gnome-software recommends: iu fwupd 1.8.5-1 Versions of packages gnome-software suggests: pn apt-config-icons-hidpi <none> pn gnome-software-plugin-flatpak <none> pn gnome-software-plugin-snap <none> -- no debconf information
