Package: thunderbird
Version: 1:102.3.0-1~deb11u1
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I use the Package Update Indicator to keep my Debian bullseye system updated at
all times.

Updating Thunderbird to 102.3.0-1 caused it to lose settings and previous UI
that I can't restore even after 2 days of thorough research, trials and errors.

One setting it lost that's important for me is the length of lines in plain
text emails. Previous behavior was that lines would be automatically wrapped at
72 while composing, and the email would arrive at destination as such. After
the update, it still wraps at 72 while composing, but it arrives at destination
with long lines. I have confirmed this by sending mail to myself. I suspect the
update has forcefully changed some settings in about:config, but I haven't been
able to figure out which exactly are the strings that I should change or how.

Another anomally is with spell checking. In the previous version I was able to
use both options, Spellcheck As You Type and Check Spelling... Now I can use
one or the other but not both; Check Spelling... won't work if Spellcheck As
You Type is checked.

As for UI, it lost things like the color of icons in the Folder Pane (I have
found no way to restore this) as well as the icons in the Mail Toolbar (I was
able to restore them, but not in the same way as they were). A "Spaces Toolbar"
was added to the left of the Folder Pane that I can't get rid of. Both in the
previous version and in 102.3.0 I set the default system theme, which is still
the same as usual.

I have no add-ons or extensions installed.

This may be related to #1018700.
