Hello,

I hereby express my intent to salvage the 'libswe' package. Several years
have passed and many new upstream versions, and unfortunately no
updates on the Debian side.

There is a recent bug filed against one of its components (see #1011976),
which requires that the package be updated. And another 5 years old minor
bug here (#849898).

I have also been waiting to be able to close an ITP of mine
depending on that library (see #958755). I had a few emails with the
maintainer, but he now seems to not be active at all anymore.

An updated version of the package can already be found on salsa:
https://salsa.debian.org/debian-astrology-team/libswe

The associated source package 'swe-standard-data' will also have to be updated.

Cheers!
