Hello Thomas,

FYI, 4.7.2 is uploaded to Experimental, and will go to Unstable when
OpenStack Zed will be release on the 5th of October.

Awesome, thanks for your work.

I would prefer to keep that version if it's not annoying others.
Please let me know.

ansible-lint requires jsonschema >=4.9.0 for any release >= 6.4.0 (the
latest one being 6.6.1 at this time).

Upstream's changelog between 4.7.2 and 4.9.1 seems to only contain
bugfixes, although they could surely still trigger issues with
jsonschema's deps, but maybe that would be doable?!

I would like to try going with 4.9.1 on experimental at least (now
that 4.7.2 is on unstable) so we can have an idea of possible
breakages.
Then we can discuss possibly having 4.9.1 for bookworm if you think
that's ok, and I won't push if you still want to stick to 4.7.2.
The bump from 3.2 has been quite helpful already and I understand
we're dealing with compromises where ideally we would probably want to
have more than one version available in the repos.

Cheers,

Hi,

I just uploaded version 4.9.1 to Experimental. Since most OpenStack packages have autopkgtest, I'm confident to upload it to unstable if I see no breakage. We can re-do this incrementally if needed.

Let's see what the pseudo-excuse page says in a few hours...

Cheers,
