Sorry for my delayed answer, I missed to subscribe to this bug report and didn't notice your reply earlier :-( > there are reverse dependencies that needs to be taken care of: The new source package fonts-urw-base35 ships a dummy package gsfonts-x11 now, which depends on fonts-urw-base35, which does the same as gsfonts-x11 did before. So if someone upgrades from the old gsfonts-x11 to the new dummy package, everything should work as before until the dummy is removed, which will try to uninstall the package depending on gsfonts-x11. So removing the old gsfonts-x11 package shouldn't hurt until we remove the dummy package from the archive. > Checking reverse dependencies... > # Broken Depends: > inventor: libinventor1 > pokerth: pokerth-data > > # Broken Build-Depends: > gcc-3.3: gsfonts-x11 I'll file bug reports against these three packages, requesting to replace the dependency on gsfonts-x11 with one on fonts-urw-base35 (or some alternative to both of them). Except this I'll ask the maintainers of gcc-3.3 why they have a build dependency on gsfonts-x11, which (from my point of view) is only useful for X11 desktop systems and doesn't make much sense in a build dependency... > In case they matter, this needs to be addressed first.
