We should hold back for a while, it is evident that libbpf is not in a stable state and ready for production if they had to break API compatibility like this. It would be better to ship Bookworm with the current version, and postpone ABI breakages to Trixie, so that we can be sure there are no longer going to be API incompatible changes.
