gtkpod's last upstream release was in 2015. The iPods were discontinued in 2017. iPod Touches weren't discontinued until 2022 but I don't know if gtkpod supported the IPod Touch, especially newer versions. At one point, various music player apps in Debian uses gtkpod but none do currently. For gtkpod to have a future in Debian, someone will need to fork the project and continue development.
