Package: apt-proxy Version: 1.9.33-0.1 Severity: important I'm serving local repository cache through apt-proxy to a mix of bare Debian testing and Ubuntu dapper boxes, and realised that some Ubuntu packages contain a '~' symbol on the version field.
All those packages with the '~' (gutenprint and cups-related for what I've seen) can't be downloaded through apt-proxy (which translates it, either apt-proxy or maybe apt on its request, don't know, to '%7e') Following is an extract of the apt-proxy log for such a package: 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [Channel,0,192.168.135.4] [debug] Headers: Host: apt:9999, Connection: keep-alive, User-Agent: Debian APT-HTTP/1.3 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [Channel,0,192.168.135.4] [debug] Request: GET /ubuntu/pool/main/g/gutenprint/libgutenprint2_5.0.0%7erc2-0ubuntu6_i386.deb 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [Channel,0,192.168.135.4] [debug] Request: GET /ubuntu/pool/main/g/gutenprint/libgutenprint2_5.0.0%7erc2-0ubuntu6_i386.deb backend=ubuntu local_file=/var/cache/apt-proxy/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gutenprint/libgutenprint2_5.0.0%7erc2-0ubuntu6_i386.deb 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [Channel,0,192.168.135.4] [debug] backend: ubuntu [<apt_proxy.apt_proxy.BackendServer instance at 0xb746a48c>, <apt_proxy.apt_proxy.BackendServer instance at 0xb746a38c>] 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [Channel,0,192.168.135.4] [Fetcher.activate] (ubuntu) servers:2/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gutenprint/libgutenprint2_5.0.0%7erc2-0ubuntu6_i386.deb 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [Channel,0,192.168.135.4] [file_ok] check_cached: /var/cache/apt-proxy/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gutenprint/libgutenprint2_5.0.0%7erc2-0ubuntu6_i386.deb 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [Channel,0,192.168.135.4] [debug] cached: 0 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [Channel,0,192.168.135.4] [fetch_real] Consulting server about /var/cache/apt-proxy/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gutenprint/libgutenprint2_5.0.0%7erc2-0ubuntu6_i386.deb 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [Channel,0,192.168.135.4] [Fetcher.activate] (ubuntu) servers:2/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gutenprint/libgutenprint2_5.0.0%7erc2-0ubuntu6_i386.deb 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [-] [ftp_client] Got control connection, using passive ftp 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] --> 220 Ubuntu FTP server (vsftpd) 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] <-- USER anonymous 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] --> 331 Please specify the password. 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] <-- PASS [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] --> 230 Login successful. 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] <-- TYPE I 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] --> 200 Switching to Binary mode. 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] <-- MDTM /ubuntu/pool/main/g/gutenprint/libgutenprint2_5.0.0%7erc2-0ubuntu6_i386.deb 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] --> 550 Could not get file modification time. 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] <-- SIZE /ubuntu/pool/main/g/gutenprint/libgutenprint2_5.0.0%7erc2-0ubuntu6_i386.deb 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] --> 550 Could not get file size. 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] [ftp_client] SIZE FAILED 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] <-- PASV 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] --> 227 Entering Passive Mode (85,133,25,7,39,245) 2006/05/06 18:19 CEST [FTPClient,client] <-- LIST /ubuntu/pool/main/g/gutenprint/libgutenprint2_5.0.0%7erc2-0ubuntu6_i386.deb 2006/05/06 18:20 CEST [FTPClient,client] --> 150 Here comes the directory listing. 2006/05/06 18:20 CEST [FTPClient,client] --> 226 Directory send OK. 2006/05/06 18:20 CEST [FTPClient,client] [Fetcher] Finished receiving data, status:404 saveData:1 2006/05/06 18:20 CEST [FTPClient,client] [Fetcher] Last request removed 2006/05/06 18:20 CEST [FTPClient,client] <-- QUIT 2006/05/06 18:20 CEST [Channel,0,192.168.135.4] [debug] Client connection closed -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-686 Locale: [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] (charmap=ISO-8859-15) (ignored: LC_ALL set to [EMAIL PROTECTED]) Versions of packages apt-proxy depends on: ii adduser 3.85 Add and remove users and groups ii bzip2 1.0.3-2 high-quality block-sorting file co ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.0 Debian configuration management sy ii logrotate 3.7.1-3 Log rotation utility ii python 2.3.5-5 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-apt 0.6.16.2 Python interface to libapt-pkg ii python-twisted 2.2.0-2 Event-based framework for internet ii python-twisted-web 0.5.0-4 An HTTP protocol implementation to ii python2.3 2.3.5-9.1 An interactive high-level object-o apt-proxy recommends no packages. -- debconf information: apt-proxy/upgrading-v2: apt-proxy/upgrading-v2-result: -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
