Just a personal opinion, but I tried switching to webext-umatrix, and was not able to use it effectively. It is way more obtrusive, more complex and harder to use compared to NoScript. NoScript upstream is actively maintained, with regular releases, about 1 or 2 times per months (not that it requires many updates).
