I just spotted the node-d3 package. Has that solved all the issues and can that be considered the replacement of this package?

If so, should libjs-d3 be removed from Debian?

I have just uploaded the last node-d3-* package that had a Depends on nodejs, so node-d3 can now be installed (at least, should be possible) without nodejs (it wasn't needed) everywhere. I wonder if libjs-d3 should just be an empty package providing softlinks for the paths it currently provides. Or better if node-d3 should ship those in the location where libjs-d3 ships them and Provides libjs-d3. Then this source can be dropped.

@László, what do you think?

Paul
