Package: libgl1
Version: 1.4.0-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

I'm trying to have hardware acceleration on my old chipset on an old laptop
(acer aspire 3690) here and running glxinfo or glx gears the first lines on the
console are

libGL error: MESA-LOADER: failed to open i915: /usr/lib/dri/i915_dri.so: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory (search paths
/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/dri:\$${ORIGIN}/dri:/usr/lib/dri, suffix _dri)
libGL error: failed to load driver: i915

Not sure if this is a libgl problem or a mesa one, so I guessed to
write it here. I'may provide any other information necessary to fix
this. Aldo would appreciate any advice on how to get hardware
acceleration for my chipset (Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS, 943/940GML
Express Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:27a2] (rev 03), according to lspci
-nn).

Thanks in advance and best regards,
Alexandre
