Sorry I thought I had replied to this and I didn't. All I'm doing when this happens is checking my local email (log file reports etc) in Evolution. It doesn't do it when I check gmail though. and strangely enough, it only does it if the PC sits over night, with Evolution open. So like if I check email first thing in the morning, the rest of the day it's fine. Tim
