cool. But how does that make you close this bug report? Bug #849265 talks about removing everything all groups from EXTRA_GROUPS but that doesn't close this bug. This bug is about there being a difference between the groups added by debian-installer and the groups added by adduser via extra-groups. You did not address whether either: a) those lists of groups being different is okay and why or b) reassigned this bug to debian-installer so that they can add the groups that adduser adds Thanks! cheers, josch
