Package: gnome-control-center Version: 1:2.12.3-2 Followup-For: Bug #364944
Just a confirmation, I'm getting this error too. When making changes to the keyboard settings X crashes with the memory errors mentioned in the first bug report. All subsequent attempts to login to gnome will result in X hanging and ignoring all user input. I was able to get around this by SSH-ing in and killing off all X related processes. One of the processes, xrdb, is consistently defunct during a hang. Removing all GConf settings will allow the user to get back into gnome and the system will run fine so long as the keyboard settings are left alone. I would suggest making this a higher priority bug - this bug actually affected me after an upgrade due to already existing keyboard preference settings. This bug effectively halts productivity for any user who has keyboard preference settings, performs an upgrade and can't find a way around the X hang. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
