I am not certain if I understand your advise. I have searched sources version 2.1.28 (lak.c), and the value for LDAP_OPT_TIMEOUT parameter is used from the option ldap_timeout and correspond to - a citation from file LDAP_SASLAUTHD laying by: ldap_timeout: <5> Specify a number of seconds a search can take before timing out. It defaults to five seconds. The bug I reported was about 15 minutes delay, when Active Directory servers closes LDAP connection without activity on it. But it worked for another twelve more years as is :-) I have already logcheck ignore rule and forget about it. Cheers -- Zito
