Please address this upstream. If the problem is real, I think this way everyone will benefit from this. I don't think patching this in Debian is a good idea, at least I want debian version to be as close to upstream as possible. Also, personally I myself is not an expert in this area, and patches like this definitely needs quite some attentition/expertise from someone who is familiar with this topic.
I'm not sure what to do with this bug report. I can't close it, since the issue is apparently real, and I there's no reason to keep it in debian either, it only acts as a random noise. De-tagging it at least. /mjt
