Package: trocla Severity: important X-Debbugs-Cc: pkg-ruby-extras-maintain...@lists.alioth.debian.org, Jonas Genannt <gena...@debian.org>
Hi trocla maintainers! It seems like the trocla package is lagging a little behind upstream. I filed a NMU (#988074) fixing RC bugs to experimental (because freeze) and it hasn't been acknowledged yet. I am happy to take over the package. I am following the package salvaging process as described here: https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/developers-reference/pkgs.en.html#package-salvaging https://wiki.debian.org/PackageSalvaging I consider the package fitting for salvaging based on the un-ack'd NMU, the two missed upstream releases, and the unanswered critical bugs. I plan on uploading the current experimental (now NMU'd to unstable) release (0.3-0.1) to unstable, adding myself as uploader, keeping everything else intact. Which means that the current uploader and team maintainership would remain. I am *not* (as far as I know?) part of the Ruby team but I'm happy to join if you consider it necessary. I'm happy to cut this in any other shape you might desire, but I need this package at work so I'd love to see it in better shape. :) Thanks! -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.3 APT prefers stable-security APT policy: (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable-debug'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'unstable'), (1, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-13-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_FIRMWARE_WORKAROUND Locale: LANG=fr_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages trocla depends on: ii ruby 1:2.7+2 pn ruby-bcrypt <none> pn ruby-highline <none> pn ruby-moneta <none> trocla recommends no packages.
