I think you're misunderstanding what I meant. dh_vim-addon is a helper for packaging Vim addons. I'd prefer people to use that to create Debian packages for addons they want and maintain them in Debian. The thing I dislike is amalgamation packages like vim-scripts, because they just become a dumping ground of random things that _someone_ requested but no additional help in maintenance. They also are more difficult to gauge when aspects should be retired, since there are only metrics for the whole package. That's why I plan to split vim-scripts itself into individual packages, likely dropping some of the addons in the process.
