I think the concern is less about the noise and more about the fact that this will be perceived by users as an official declaration from Debian as a project that their system configuration is unsupported, while simultaneously this is the default installation mode for new systems and something that we have elsewhere said is a correct system configuration. -- Russ Allbery (r...@debian.org) <https://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/>
