I just tested `playitslowly` on a Debian 11/Bullseye box & it works for me.
It worked for me in (Debian) `testing` ~until I filed the Ubuntu bug report (or a few days before hand; Nov-2021) Yes loads of messages appear if you run it at terminal; but it starts and runs on Debian Bullseye, Ubuntu impish correctly and earlier systems in my experience (despite messages on screen). I use it mostly to loop music when I need to concentrate and don't want any distractions; using it on a semi-regular basis (on different Debian & Ubuntu systems) & only noticed issues Nov-21 in day(s) before I filed bug report first on launchpad; being after the python3.10 change. I'd request it NOT be removed from Debian stable. (I can test a debian old-stable too if helpful; but I tend to use it on testing in Debian & development on Ubuntu & not older systems)
