Package: fonts-noto-color-emoji Version: 2.034-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
I use KDE on Debian Bullseye and Bookworm. For several years most emojis did not work, neither in the Konsole terminal nor in the title bar of windows nor in notifications. However, recently I learned that emojis work when using Xfce on Debian and even inside the Xfce terminal under KDE. I reported bug #1006685 [1] against kde-plasma-desktop. There it was found that the required font configuration file is not provided. I would assume that a font package should provide the required configuration for all desktop environments of the distribution. Therefore I am opening a bug for fonts-noto-color-emoji. If I am mistaken I would be glad to learn which package I should file a bug against. Thank you very much.
