I gave Benoit an account on a couple of my machines, and he could
reproduce the problem, and came up with a patch that makes it disappear,
at least on my machines.
This patch is now in Mercurial, and should be part of the 0.9 release.
Unfortunately, this patch is a workaround. Nobody knows what is causing
the hangup, but the best guess is that this has nothing to do with
mercurial but is a bug elsewhere in the system.
I've been to lazy to verify whether the patch fixes the problem for me,
but I'll send an update here when I start using 0.9.
I don't know whether this issue should be closed or not if the symptoms go
away with 0.9. The one in the Mercurial BTS is still open for the time
being.
