Package: virt-viewer Version: 7.0-2 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: nd...@rtfm.net
Dear Maintainer, Using the remote-viewer command to connect via SPICE to a VM running on the local host: remote-viewer spice://localhost:5901 VM and host are both running bullseye with the MATE desktop. There are two 1900x1200 monitors, and I'm using both of them in full-screen mode with remote-viewer. At first, memory usage, as reported by `ps -o rss`, is stable, staying under 800MB for the first 22 hours or so. After that, it begins to rise rapidly, reaching 10GB another 13 hours or so later. A gnuplot image of the RSS (in kilobytes) over time: https://rtfm.net/ndorf/remote-viewer-rss.png -- System Information: Debian Release: 11.2 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (500, 'stable-updates'), (500, 'stable-security'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-11-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads) Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages virt-viewer depends on: ii libatk1.0-0 2.36.0-2 ii libc6 2.31-13+deb11u2 ii libcairo-gobject2 1.16.0-5 ii libcairo2 1.16.0-5 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.40.2-2 ii libglib2.0-0 2.66.8-1 ii libgovirt2 0.3.7-2 ii libgtk-3-0 3.24.24-4 ii libgtk-vnc-2.0-0 1.0.0-1 ii libgvnc-1.0-0 1.0.0-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.46.2-3 ii libpangocairo-1.0-0 1.46.2-3 ii librest-0.7-0 0.8.1-1.1 ii libsoup2.4-1 2.72.0-2 ii libspice-client-glib-2.0-8 0.39-1 ii libspice-client-gtk-3.0-5 0.39-1 ii libvirt-glib-1.0-0 3.0.0-1 ii libvirt0 7.0.0-3 ii libxml2 2.9.10+dfsg-6.7 virt-viewer recommends no packages.
