Package: mingw-w64-tools Version: 8.0.0-1 User: debian-cr...@lists.debian.org Usertags: ftcbfs Control: affects -1 + fwupd-efi
fwupd-efi fails to cross build from source, because it gets an "Exec format error" when running genpeimg. That suggests that mingw-w64-tools maybe should be marked Multi-arch: foreign. Can you help me figure out whether that is actually the right thing to do? /usr/bin/i686-w64-mingw32-pkg-config /usr/bin/i686-w64-mingw32-widl /usr/bin/x86_64-w64-mingw32-pkg-config /usr/bin/x86_64-w64-mingw32-widl These are all triplet-prefixed. That qualifies them for Multi-Arch: foreign. /usr/bin/gendef /usr/bin/genidl /usr/bin/genpeimg /usr/bin/mingw-genlib These are not. I'm not into mingw. Can you tell me whether their behaviour differs depending on which (Debian) architecture you run them on? I suppose that since these all deal with windows files, they should be fully independent of the (Debian) architecture these tools were built for. Do you confirm? If yes, please add "Multi-Arch: foreign" to this binary package. Helmut
