I have never seen such a message delivered via e-mail. Is this a strange
syslog configuration, or a container setup? Normally, message like this
end up in auth.log.

Can you give the exact sudo command you ran, your config, what the sudo
command printed, and maybe the result of stracing sudo?

I need more information about reproducing this. Please don't assume that
I have an LDAP/sss installation handy and am familiar with using
libsss-sudo.

@Timo, can you help here? Did you save the Fedora patch back in 2015?
