Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I am running a Debian 11 system that I installed on my desktop PC in
October 2021. On three occasions, all within the last month, I have
returned to my desktop after a couple of hours of it idling to find it
unresponsive. When this happens, my two displays cannot detect a signal
and do not find one after being restarted. USB power is still
operational, but peripherals are clearly not communicating with the PC -
the NumLock, CapsLock and ScrollLock status can not be changed and the
'magic' REISUB process doesn't work as it usually does. This issue isn't
related to suspend mode, which I have disabled.

The system is running conventional desktop software; the only 'unusual'
program that was running on all occasions was a Docker daemon.

Here's the output from Neofetch:

seabass@seabass-debian
----------------------
OS: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye) x86_64
Kernel: 5.10.0-11-amd64
Uptime: 8 mins
Packages: 2843 (dpkg), 18 (flatpak)
Shell: bash 5.1.4
Resolution: 1920x1080, 1920x1080
DE: Xfce 4.16
WM: Xfwm4
WM Theme: Default
Theme: Adwaita [GTK2/3]
Terminal: xfce4-terminal
CPU: Intel i3-3220 (4) @ 3.300GHz
GPU: Intel HD Graphics
Memory: 1979MiB / 15701MiB

I had to force-restart the system by using the motherboard's power
button - explaining the low uptime listed in the data above!
Unfortunately, I cannot reproduce this bug.

Best wishes,

Sebastian
