I've committed the fix in
https://salsa.debian.org/mariadb-team/mysql/-/commits/mysql-defaults/debian/master
and will wait for a few days for review or additional improvements to
mysql-defaults before uploading a new version.

Shouldn't it just point to the unversioned packages? No reason to define the default in two places.
