In any case, hardcoding "100" files is not a very good idea anyway, so I am just going to close the issue as we are not going to apply the patch anyway. A better patch (f.e. that would keep the track of already included files) would be fine to submit for inclusion in upstream. But with my upstream hat, I am saying that no solution that would hardcode number of files that could be open would be accepted upstream. Especially, in a situation that OOM killer would solve the situation for you and this is not a mistake you do every other day.
